I was given the desktop version to amend my tax returns from 2020. It crashes each time I enter the EIN number of my employer. Help please!

You can try contacting Support, but you are not allowed to use the program if you did not pay for a license (e.g., a third party give you their copy of TurboTax).

In the W-2 entry section do not enter the EIN number to try to import the form. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and choose to enter the information yourself manually. Then on the next screen that comes up you can enter the employers name address and EIN number…The program should work from that point. Also make sure that the program is up-to-date and that your operating system has all updates fully installed and reboot your computer at least once.
