I was filed my return February 12th and was accepted February 13th, why almost 2 months later and no return? How do I find out if there are any issues with my return?

I have tried calling the IRS for a month now with no luck!

Your e-filed return is still in pending on the server because the IRS is currently accepting/rejecting/processing returns.  Sometimes it can take more than 48 hours to process. Only a few returns were accepted early in a test batch.  Everyone else has been waiting.   Please see the TurboTax FAQ below for more information on pending returns:

Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS.

It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates.

The IRS will be in touch with you if there is an issue, but it is seriously backlogged due to all the new tax laws and extra stimulus filings, as well as unprocessed 2019 returns left over from the COVID shutdown.  Contacting the IRS will not speed things up, either.  Lots of  other folks are still waiting, so please continue to be patient.  Also see:
