I was almost finished with my 2018 return on my office laptop but I have to finish it on my laptop at home. How can I access my 2018 return without starting over?

1)  If you are using the Desktop software...you must load and install  that desktop software on your home computer. then update it to include the state software set(s) needed, before you attempt to open your tax file.  The tax file (ends in .tax2018 ) must be transferred home by you....and put on your home hard drive.  you cannot use it directly form your usb-stick .

2) if you are using the Online browser-based software. all you ave  to do is to sing off your online account at work, then access it from home thru a browser.  You can continue it there.  BUT...you'd better have your UserID and PWd clearly written down.....don't depend on "remembering" it.  Your UserID is not necessarily, and is commonly NOT  your email address....but it is whatever you set it up to be when you initiated your account
