I want to amend my 1040SR 2021 tax return. How do i do that?

Do I need a special form to amend my 1040SR return that has already been accepted by the IRS?

An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 16 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

The federal amended tax return, Form 1040-X, for tax year 2021 is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 03/17/2022

I filed my return via e-file, not through the mail.  How can I amend it?  Your reply only refers to a form used if not "e-filing".

When the amendment process is available later in March for the 2021 tax year then if you efiled the original return you will be able to also efile the amendment until efiling closes in mid October.   Do not do anything until the IRS fully processed the original refund  AND  the amendment process has gone live.
