I've purchased the 2016 CD. Because I did my taxes on line last year, I don't have a TurboTax return file for this years app to upload last year's info.

How can I get Turbo Tax 2015 info for this years TurboTax?

If you prepared your tax return using TurboTax Online, you can access your .tax file as follows.

1. Sign in to TurboTax.
2. Click the Taxes tab in the top-left corner.
3. Then, scroll to the bottom and click the Load My Tax Timeline link in the bottom-right. Every year that you have used TurboTax online will appear.
4. Click on the year you are looking for a click the Download/print return (PDF) link. Your tax return will start downloading automatically.

You can save your .tax file for 2015, and then use the Desktop program to import into your 2016 tax return.

Another way to get the file would be to start your 2016 return in TurboTax online, and then follow the instructions in this FAQ to switch to Desktop:
