I thought my ex-wife was going to claim my son as a dependent this last year. She did not. Can I amend my return? I filed as head of household and got EIC for my son?

Yes, if you already filed and IRS processed the original return, you will file an Amended return to claim your son.

Note: an amended return, must be printed, signed, dated and mailed to the  IRS.
