I thought I was putting my state tax return toward my federal debt for this year's taxes. It turns out that I put it toward 2025 taxes. Is there anyway to get this back?

Or get it put toward my 2024 owed federal taxes?

You can Never have your state refund directed to a Federal tax due thru your tax filing....(nor can you ever have a Federal refund directed to pay State taxes due).   For such situations, you must either get the refund yourself and then pay it yourself...or just pay irrespective of when you get the refund.    Neither the Feds, nor the State will sit around waiting for some refund to be issued by the other party....especially since, sometimes, an expected refund never happens.

Whether you can get your state to change what you've done to be switched to a refund, is a discussion you would have to have with your own state's tax department.   Find your own state's income tax website and find the telephone numbers there to call to see what can be done.

You have to call the state.   If you can't get the state to apply the 2025 estimated payment to 2024, you could change any W2 or 1099 state withholding to zero for the rest of the year.  It might help a little.
