I thought I had signed up for direct deposit but now it is telling me that I will be receiving a check in the mail. Is there any way to change back to direct deposit

Unfortunately, Once you hit the Transmit Return, you have filed.

It is like putting you return in the mail.

There is not any way to change for refund preference.

If you signed up for Direct Deposit and you are now getting a check,

there must have been a problem with your account information,

the Bank has rejected the refund and it was sent back to the IRS.

They will now Issue you a paper check.
