I think my standard deduction should be limited to the greater of 1250 or my earned income plus $400 since I'm a dependent, but turbo tax is putting in a higher amount.

How can I adjust this?

What amount is shown as your Standard Deduction? The amount shown cannot be greater than $13,850 if you are a Single dependent.

go through your entries. did you check that you can be claimed as a dependent?
