I still haven’t received my refund and I paid to get it 5 days early… how do I get my $25 back??

Remember that the “”5 day early” date is based on the date given to you on the IRS refund site—-not the date the TT site shows in your account.   If your refund does not come in five days ahead of the IRS date, they are supposed to cancel the $25 fee.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If you chose the up to 5 day early refund into your preferred bank account option, you will receive your refund up to 5 days before the date the IRS sends the refund. If your refund isn't deposited up to 5 days early, you won't pay the early deposit fee. You can check the IRS Where's My Refund site to see if the IRS has provided a refund date for you, and your refund will be deposited up to 5 days before that date.

I have a refund issue date of 2/24/25. My transcripts just updated yesterday. I also paid for the 5 days early. Am I getting my refund today? 2/19/25)?

I haven't received mine either and I paid to get it 5 days early I guess all we can do is be patient

There is a few reasons why you might have not receive your refund within the promised up to 5-days

• Refund was offset or differed from their estimated refund amount, bringing the refund amount below the minimum threshold or above the maximum. What is a refund offset?
• Your bank wouldn't accept RTP (Real Time Payments) or Same Day ACH deposits, preventing Intuit from depositing their refund up to 5 days ahead of when the IRS would have deposited their refund.
• The IRS didn't give Intuit up to 5 or more days of notice in advance. This stopped Intuit from meeting the up to 5 days early expectations.

If TurboTax is unable to deliver the refund up to 5 days early, your order will be canceled and you won't be charged the up to 5-Day Early fee. You will receive a follow-up email with a refund and timing update, and if any cancellation is applicable.

It's unfortunate that the idea was even put out there for a person to expect they can receive the return 5 days early.  I was the only one out of my friends I referred to TurboTax this year to not get the money today. My deposit date is for 2/26/2025 my friends got theirs I still have not. I'm a bit upset

Same here…transcript says deposit date of 02/26, paid for early deposit, other people have received theirs early, but we have not. 🙄

Same, I won't be using TT next year. I used them to hopefully get mine early, then just today I received a message saying they couldn't expedite it. It's a bit shady tbh.

I feel you mine updated on 2/19 as well that I would be getting my taxes by 2/24. I paid for 5 day early as well and have it set up to go on my credit karma card. I still haven't received anything it's been crickets and today is 2/23. No 5 day early not even the 2 day early. If it's not there tomorrow then I am going to sue...first there was no free option and constantly advertised this option instead..now they can't hold up their end of the bargain to get me my refund faster? They are scamming people and that is not ok.

Ok. That's insane. Saying your going to sue. You can't. TT covers their ass. They won't charge u the 25 if u don't get it 5 days early.

Have you received your refund? If not, perhaps calling the IRS. Along with myself, tons of people had to verify their identity!! I had NOOOO idea until I called ! Just verified yesterday. Hope to see my $$$ soon!!
