I signed my amendment back in May of 2020, buy failed to mail it. Do I need to line out the date?

Silly I know, but I printed out signed, and dated my amendment for 2018 back in May of 2020 but failed to mail it with everything going on.  I am getting ready to mail it now, should I line out the date with today's date and initial or is it acceptable for it to be dated well before it is mailed?

Just line out the original date and put in the date when mailed.
