i sent my turbo tax to wrong office. what to do now?

I filed my taxes in July 2020, and have a postal receipt for both my fed and state mailing. I was to receive  a refund. I did not get a confirmation that it was received by the IRS.

I sent it to the "payments due" address by mistake.  I was expecting a tax refund but I have not heard from the IRS as yet. I called the IRS to see if it has been processed and they do not currently have a record of its receipt. 

1. Will the wrong IRS office eventually open my Turbo Tax envelop and notice that the address it was sent to  is wrong and forward it to the right IRS office for processing?

2. How should I proceed in resolving this problem at this time?

Yes, eventually. But the IRS processing centers were closed for several months because of the Covid-19 pandemic. They have a huge backlog of millions of unopened mailed tax returns. The processing centers have reopened, with reduced staff, but it will take a long time to work through the backlog. They will eventually get to your tax return.

You should wait patiently for a very long time.

The IRS web site says the following.

"We're experiencing delays in processing paper tax returns due to limited staffing. If you already filed a paper return, we will process it in the order we received it.

"Do not file a second tax return or contact the IRS about the status of your return."

Records show my turbo tax return was sent out but I never received it due to me being at a homeless shelter when I filled.i Never received my check. I am now at a residential address. Can you please have the check sent here?[removed address]

Please resolve this issue for me.

You have to ask the IRS to replace your check.   No one at TurboTax can help with that.
