I sent my amended tax return in February, why haven't I received my refund yet?

Did you wait for your original return to be fully processed before you amended?   Or did you create confusion by amending while the IRS was still trying to process the original tax return?

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take five months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
