I recently filed my return, but have already received my state return (DC), despite requesting direct deposit. Should I deposit this check or wait for direct deposit?

They will NOT issue the refund twice ... if they sent a check that is all you are getting. Although you can request a direct deposit the fed/state do not have to honor it.
