You can’t change anything unless your return is rejected. If accepted, wait until your return has been processed and any tax liability settled before you amend.
If you have already filed your return, you'll need to wait for your tax return to either be rejected or accepted, if it is rejected you can add your Form W-2, correct any other errors on the return and resubmit it.
If it is accepted, you will need to amend your return to include the Form W-2.
Amending won't delay your original refund. However, if you are expecting a refund, we recommend that you wait to amend until after the IRS has processed your original return and you have received your refund, feel free to cash or spend it while your amendment gets processed
Please be aware that Form 1040X will not be available in TurboTax until February 23, 2023, but once it is available, you will be able to prepare and e-file your amended return.
Please see this TurboTax article for instructions on how to amend your tax return in TurboTax.
I agree with BSCH4477 you should not amend until the IRS processes your filed return.
In addition, you won't be able to amend the return until the IRS releases the Forms to amend which are expected to be released on February 23rd.
Once the IRS starts accepting amended returns, you will need to file Form 1040X. Simply log in to your TurboTax account and select "Amend a return that was filed and accepted." You will need to include a reason for amending.
