I received an email to ament my state income tax due to new law passed on unemployment benefits. However, when I go to amend it asks me for the date of amendment federal?

I was told in the email not to amend my federal it is automatically taken care of by goverment. ???

go to your state's revenue website to check if your state is also going to take care of this for you so you will not have to do anything.
