I received a W-2 after I already filed my taxes and they were accepted

I filed mine & my husbands joint taxes last week through E-file on Turbo Tax. They were accepted by the IRS. Today my husband received a W-2 in the mail from an old employer for only a few days worked in 2022. What do I do to get this W-2 added?

If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 16 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

The 2022 Amended tax return, Form 1040X, can be e-filed at any time on or before October 15, 2023.
