I received a refund today of $3,587. my return showed a refund $787. what do i do now?

You should be receiving a letter from the IRS in the next few days explaining why your refund was different than what was on your tax return. If that letter does not fully explain it, you will need to call the IRS for an explanation. There should be a number to call on the letter.
