I received a notice from IRS to verify my identity which I did right away. I really need my taxes . It’s been almost a week since the verification. Thoughts?

As stated by the IRS it can take up to 9 weeks after ID verification before the tax refund will be issued.

Im pretty sure it said between 2-3 weeks delayed and I know what the form says.  I came here to ask if this has happened to anyone else and was it just a random identity check or something else causing it to be flagged.  I wanted to hear other experiences, not someone repeating what the form does or doesn’t say.  I know that may sound crass but I am asking a legitimate question and repeating something like that is not helpful
