I received a letter stating that mistake was made and the IRS owes me $455.00. The letter is dated 11/28/2022. I have never received it and one answers the phone. Help!

The letter said if they do not hear from me by 4/29/2022 they will assume I agree.  They have not heard from me because they don't answer the phone!

You may have a typo in your message.  You wrote that the message received from the IRS was dated 11/28/2022 and they need to hear from you by 4/29/2022?

If this was not a typo, then this may be a scam.

How did you receive this IRS(?) notice, by mail or by e-mail?

this could be a scam but then you would be able to get through on the phone number provided. 8008291040 is a real IRS phone number but getting through is an ongoing issue.  4/29/2023(in case of a typo would be a Saturday highly unlikely). It's also unlikely that the IRS would tell you they owe you a refund of a specific $ amount but need documentation. in most cases, they wouldn't know the amount if a form or schedule was missing.

can you tell us the letter number and generally what the IRS wants

or did the letter merely say we owe you $455 and nothing further was requested - this is possible but it could easily be weeks before you get it since direct deposit is unlikely.
