I received a letter my Michigan Treasury office. Stating they needed to verify my identity before they could give me my refund. is this true?

For identification purposes, the state will ask you for your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) or Total Household Resources (THR). (This information can be found below in the FAQ.)
