I received a letter from IRS to fill out a 8962 form. I have my 1095-a. How do I amend it

On turbo tax

Go into your original return, enter the 1095-A. The program will generate Form 8962.

Send a copy of Form 1095-A, Form 8962, and the IRS letter to the address the IRS gave you. 

DO NOT amend your return. 

To get back into your return, sign into your account, 

1. Under Your tax returns & documents, select Show, and then select 2018.
2. Now select Add a state (You aren't going to, but this reopens your return).
3. Enter the 1095-A
