Did you receive a 1099 form for the payment? If so, what type of 1099? (There is no plain 1099. All 1099 forms have one or more letters after the 1099.) Who is named as the recipient on the 1099? Is the recipient's TIN your Social Security number? If it's an EIN, whose EIN is it? If it's a 1099-G or 1099-MISC, which box is the payment in?
