I received a $439 refund last year nothing has changed as far as income but I get no federal refund this year!

I receive social security my income was the same due to no increase given!

All you can do is put the returns side by side and review them line by line to see the differences. Post back which line on which form is confusing you or doesn't look correct.

How can I get a copy of 2016 & 2017 returns to compare?

For 2017:

You can peek at only  the Federal form 1040 and the summary of the state info by going here:

1) lower- Left side of the screen...click to the left side of the "Tax Tools" text selection.
2)  then select "Tools"
3) then select "View Tax Summary" from the pop-up
4) then back to the left-side and "Preview 1040"

Then hit the "Back" on the left side to get back to your tax entries.
