I received a 1099Div after filing my 2017 taxes using TT Home and Biz download. TT does not display an option for amending due to a 1099Div. Can you help? Thanks.

To clarify, I know how to add 1099Div info generally.  I specifically need to know how to do this when amending my return.

You can use the amend steps below but for 1099-DIV specifically when it doesn't show on the What do you need to change on your return? screen, use these steps first:

• Once you have told software you want to amend, you should see the What do you need to change on your return? screen
• Scroll down to I need to change (amend) my return for a different reason if you don't see 1099-DIV on that screen.
• Under that section click Update next to Wages & Income and then click I'll choose what I work on
• You should then see the Your 2017 Income Summary screen
• Scroll down and click Start/Revisit/Update next to Dividends on 1099-DIV under the Interest and Dividends section 
• Enter 1099-DIV there and follow instructions

Ok, try this. If your refund meter reset to zero already, click the Federal Taxes tab and then Wages & Income under that. Then choose I'll choose what I work on and see if you see Dividends on 1099-DIV listed there. Let me know if that helps.

Thanks.  I'm using Home and Biz.  Your previous instructions were pretty good but instead of "Wages & Income", it reads something along the lines of "Business Income".  I can't remember the exact wording.  When I chose that, you're instructions worked great.
