Is it your federal tax refund?  What is the description on it?  How much?  Did you qualify for the Free Edition the last couple of years but got upgraded and  had to pay?  Maybe the class action lawsuit is starting to send payments.  See this post about the class action lawsuit for paying Turbo Tax fees when you qualified for the Free Edition,

Amount?  Have you changed your email address since 2016?  Or check your spam filter to see if there is an email.

 

Turbotax recently settled a class action lawsuit alleging the company steered customers to a paid version of Turbotax online even though they qualified for free filing under the IRS Free File program.  Customers who used turbotax for the 2016, 2017 or 2018 tax season, who were low income and should have qualified for the FreeFile program, but used a paid version of Turbotax, are expected to receive refunds of about $30 per return.  Affected customers do not need to file a claim, since Turbotax has their information and will make the payment automatically.

 

Alternatively, it might be a delayed tax refund from the IRS.  However, Turbotax will only get involved if you used refund transfer to pay your fees, and in that case the refund should be coming from SBTP or Green Dot bank, and not Turbotax corporate.  If the money came directly from Turbotax corporate office, it is probably a class action refund.

 

If that does not sound right, contact customer support in the morning.
