I quit my job October 28, 2017. I asked my employer could I get my W2 form and they replied that their system doesn't generate forms until January 31,2018. Is that legal?

Is there any way around this situation? I used Turbo Tax last year and was wondering if you could assist me again this year.

Yes, perfectly legal. Giving out a W-2 on termination is unheard of. There is no way around it. You have to wait
