I put in w2 information but i dont have any w2s how do I amend my return to reflect that?

unfortunately yes and I cant figure out how to amend it on turbotax because it only allows for adding a w-2 not deleting it (technically my friend helped me and she put income in w2 by mistake!!)

First, follow the instructions in this FAQ for amending your return.  Once you have the 1040X activated you can delete the W-2s entered by your "friend."  😄

To delete the W-2s in the amended return, please follow these steps:

1. On the screen, What do you need to change on your return, click the Update box next to W-2.
2. On the screen, Do You have another W-2 to enter, mark the No button and click Continue.
3. On the next screen, Here's your W-2 info, click the Delete box next to each of the W-2s entered.
4. Click Done when all the W-2s have been deleted.
5. You'll be on the screen Do you need to change anything else?  If you don't need to change anything else click Done at the bottom of the screen.
6. Continue through the screens, entering the requested information.
