Banking information for refund is wrong
If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected. If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it. The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS. Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return.
Here is what the IRS says about entering incorrect banking information
If you do not know what you entered for your banking information look at your tax return:
Form 1040 line 76, b,c,d
Form 1040A line 48, b,c,d
Form 1040EZ line 13, b,c,d
My taxes were supposed to be in my account on February 22nd which is a Friday but the bank send it back to the irs due to the wrong account number so long does it take for the irs to get the return back in when wil i receive my mail paper check
What happens I put in wrong bank info
