I prepared the return for a deceased person When I printed the return it still said "self prepared" How do I fix this?

I also printed the return to mail. Do I have to amend the return to make the change?

That just means you did not use a paid preparer.

Did you enter the date of death to get the proper annotations on Form 1040?

Yes, I entered the date.

Can you answer a few more questions?

Should I enter my name as the person that the IRS can contact about the return?

And is there somewhere I am suppose to sign? I only see a place for her signature.

Thanks!

Your address should be on 1040 so IRS mail, including refund, will go to you.

using the contact line won't hurt.

Sign with

"<your name> as personal rep"

OR

"<your name> as executor"

according to your status.
