The amount of tax that you paid with the original return should be included on line 16 of the Form 1040-X amended return that you filed. If it's there, then the refund that you received includes the amount you originally paid. If the amount you paid with the original return is not on line 16 of the Form 1040-X, you will have file another amended return to correct the first amended return. You have to do this separately for each year, of course.
What money you paid? your Turbotax fees? Sorry that's fees for using the software and any other options you selected which you did used for the original and probably amended returns. Contact support but I doubt they'll honor uyour request.
To get back the tax you paid? Check the amended returns.
The amended return is only for the difference you get back or owe. I think the cover sheet shows what the original return WOULD have been if you did it right the first time.
Go by the actual 1040X. Line 18 should be your original refund amount and line 22 should be your additional refund. If you paid on your original return it will be on line 16. If there is an amount owed with the amendment, it will be on line 20.
