I owed money to the irs and then I had to change something. Instead of owing it now says zero which I no is wrong. How do I edit what I contributed to taxes?

When you look at tax summary my total tax and total payments are same. Total payments is off roughly 3500 dollars. How do I edit this????

Sounds like you Amended your return.  You should not amend until the first return is done processing and you paid the first tax due.  The amended return assumes you made the payment and is only for the difference you now owe or get back.

If you didn't file yet and clicked on the amend button to fix it you might need to undo that first.  How to delete an Amended return in the Online version
