Hi i need to know what todo if both of my W2 forms, are boxes checked with the question Can i be a dependent?.. I haven't been claimed but for some reason thise boxes had checks in them what do i do i need this stimulus money.
I am not following what you mean. The W2 does not have a place for you to be marked as a dependent. What matters is when you file your return, that you do not mark dependent on the tax return. Once you have filed your return and it is accepted and processed, you will qualify for the stimulus.
This is a W2 picture. @Kmichaels0116

I am 21 years old i think i messed up.. The box under the box "could be claimed as a dependent",, but I got a refund for both 2018, 2019 but i checked my turbo tax from i wasnt claimed so will i get the stimulus check still.. If not what do i do to fix it?? I didnt get my check today an alot of my friends did so im worried something is wrong.
If you indicated that you could be claimed as a dependent, you were eligible to be claimed as a dependent, or you were claimed, you may not receive an advance payment of the Economic Impact Credit.
You should amend the return for sure if you were not eligible to be claimed as a dependent so that the return on file is accurate.
Amended returns are filed by mail and typically take 8-12 weeks to process. Processing times right now are significantly delayed due to reductions in staff.
It is not known if, upon processing, an advance payment will be sent. Any taxpayer whose advance payment received is less than the full payment for which he or she is entitled, will be eligible to claim the difference as a credit on the 2020 tax return filed in 2021.
