I owe about 400 in back child support and my Federal is way over that amount how long would it take to receive my Federal taxes please if anyone can answer thank you

I'm just trying to find out how Ohio does this with back child support I'm only owing this small amount due to being injured at work and wasn't able to work for a few months. If anyone could please give me some clue as to how long it takes for the off set to happen and all that thank you in advance

There should not be a delay in receiving the balance of your refund.  

You'll get an explanatory letter from the Bureau of the Fiscal Service if your refund is offset. The remainder of your refund will be processed as usual; an offset shouldn't delay your refund unless of course your entire refund was applied to your debt.

Thank you. I haven't received a letter or anything in that manner so hoping they take what they need and that's all.
