I only have the PDF file of my taxes 2025 and I didn’t save my desktop file.. how can I amend my taxes?

If you used the TurboTax online web based editions your 2025 tax data file is saved in your online account.  You only need to start the amended 2025 tax return.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Amend (change) return

if you used desktop though responding in online for Windows 11, go to the

c:\Users\User-Name\Documents\turboTax folder. you should find a file starting with a tilde (~) and ending with .tax2025. that's a backup of the last saved file. You can open it directly by double clicking on it, but you'll have to make sure it's the same as the return you filed.
