I need to update a return I filed 2 days ago. Is there a way to do this quickly without waiting to amend?

No.  You have to wait and see if the IRS accepts your return.  If they reject it for something you can fix it and resend it.  But if they accept it you have to wait some more for it to fully process and you get the first refund.  Then you can amend. So DO NOT change anything on your return yet until you start the amended process.
