Are you sure it's really the IRS asking for copies of your tax returns? If you filed the tax returns the IRS already has copies of them. It's rare for them to ask for another copy of a filed tax return.

Why does the IRS want copies of your tax returns? Where are they telling you to send the copies? How did they request the copies: a letter or notice, email, text, phone call?
