I need to amend my 2016 taxes

I seem to be stuck in an "upgrade to deluxe" edition loop. How can I rectify this?

Try following the steps in the link below and see what happens.

If you are using the Free Edition, then you will need to upgrade to be able to access a previous year's tax return.

However if what you are needing to amend falls within the stipulations of being able to use the Free Edition then you should not need to upgrade.
