Hello,
I have tried calling 800-446-8848 multiple times. I have tried going through the help page, and the help chat-with-a-bot thing. I have tried chatting on Facebook Messenger with 3 different folks now who give me various steps to follow, and I get the distinct feeling that I am looking at either an old, or new "portal" or "webpage" or something! Nothing any of these have told me makes sense to what I see. I am not technologically impaired, and manage just fine without help on most anything technology related.
I have received a letter from WI Dept. of Revenue, about my 2017 1099-R, and I need to see my 2017 taxes so I can address this. I KNOW I used TurboTax for 2017, and I KNOW I did not use a "different account". My TurboTax page when I sign in says "Welcome to your 5th year filing!" yet when I click "Intuit Account" in bottom left of page, then "Products & Billing", then "TurboTax", I can only see my 2020 and 2019 prior years. If this is my 5th year filing, WHERE'S THE REST?! Everything I've seen says TurboTax keeps records for 7 years. I cannot get through to speak to a real human being on the phone number, and I am severely frustrated and sick of the run around. This is my last resort to resolve this and access my 2017 records! The only next possible step I can foresee taking, is going into corporate headquarters in person!!!

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
If you are unable to access the prior online account to download the PDF then you may have to start a 2021 online tax return using the exact same User ID for the prior year tax return. Once you have entered some personal information on the 2021 tax return the prior year accounts should be available on the Tax Home webpage.
