As stated - If you used the same account to complete both your tax return and your dependent's tax return, then the second return overwrote the first tax return and the first tax return is gone.
Otherwise, you have to sign onto the online account with the exact same user ID and password you used to create the second account for your dependent.

If you overwrote your dependent's 2016 filed tax return by using the same account and user ID, then you cannot retrieve it on TurboTax.  You could get a free transcript from the IRS or pay $50 for an actual copy.
