I need all my prior year tax returns and they are not in the document folder.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Go to this IRS website for free transcripts of a federal tax return - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

For a fee of $30 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

I did that, and went to the folders and they do not have my tax return or 1040 in there. please see the screenshots below.

@jamesquestions Unless you uploaded documents to the documents folder there will not be anything in the folders.

You need to download the PDF of the tax returns as I noted in the procedure.

it was done on turbo tax online not the desktop. I also did follow the steps you mentioned above, could not access the page you screenshotted in your last reply. 

how do i access that it is not on the documents tab mentioned above.

If you sign onto your online account using the same User ID that you used to create the account, the screenshot I posted will be on the Tax Home screen - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

You only need to scroll down the screen and click on  Your tax returns & documents

nope - it takes you right to filing taxes and when you go to intuit account it is also not there. you also can't go anywhere else.
