I need a copy of my state return from 2017. The State department is just now telling me that they never received my original return. Why can't I just print this?

I had an amendment sent in and they are just now telling me they didnt get the original so why is it so hard to get ahold of someone to print one thing?  I will never use Turbotax ever again and I will not recommend this to anyone that I know.

Note:  Every year, before mid-October, print a copy of your current year tax return and save it as a tax file and pdf, too.  That way you will have it when you need it for school, a loan, next year’s tax return, etc. without going through a lot of aggravation (and expense)  to get it.

I just re-read your question.  You amended your state return and sent the state the amended return?  Before you amended, did you save a pdf of the original?  If you did not do that, then when you amended you overwrote the original return.   That would mean it is gone.

But call customer support so they can help you sort out what you did, and if the tax file is still saved somewhere on your hard drive.
