It's too late to file an extension. Just file your return as soon as you can. Change your date of birth under My Info. Did you enter your W2 wrong?
To check your W2 just type w2 (small W) in the search box at the top of your return and click on Jump To the W2
Federal on left
Wages & Income you should see your W2 listed at the top
Or scroll down to Wages and Salaries- Click the Start or Revisit button
You should get a box listing all your W2s.
Then click Edit by your W2 to double check it or change it
What's wrong with your income? Is it showing too much? I couldn't tell if your W2 was 12,000 but your return has only 6,000 or if your W2 was the 6,000.
If your return is showing too much are there any letters by line 1? Are you a student?
SCH by 1040 line 1 Wages is taxable scholarship income and the amount

My income is $12000 for 2018 year 1099r disability retirement. I thought i was 59 that yr but i was only 58. I dont know why it shows my income $6000 when i know i put $12,000. Something is messed up. I think. I filed in april 2018 but it never got filed with turbo tax. free. I was at the public library speaking to a turbo tax specialist. So come to find out i still need to file my state and federal taxes. I just now discovered. I got rejected from irs to efile. So i printed off completed turbo tax copys but it has my income only $6000. when it should be $12000. What should i do. I agreed to pay $19.99 to speak to a turbo tax specialist but there closed for now. Open from 9 to 5PM. Tomorrow.
no im not a student, im retired disabled from OPM 1099R. Annuity.
