If your return is rejected, then there will be a button to correct your return. You will be
able to make the required correction plus any
changes to your return you wish to
make before resubmitting your return
If you already filed and your return has been accepted, you will only be able to correct your return by
amending.
Before you can correct (amend your return), you will
first need to wait until your return has been accepted and processed by the IRS
and you have received your refund, if any.
It generally takes the IRS 10-21 days to process a
return, but it can take longer in certain circumstances. TurboTax will
prompt you to amend your State return when you redo your Federal
return.
