I'm wondering why the turbo tax site says my federal refund was accepted. But the IRS where's my refund site and app say my refund was only received but not accepted yet?

The TurboTax program can only tell you if your return was accepted or rejected.  The IRS does not update TurboTax through the process of your return, the program will stay at accepted.   Once the IRS has accepted your return, they are the only ones that can tell you about your return & refund.
