I'm trying to amend 2018 return and it shows amend, but there is no choice to cancel the amendment. Why is this?

I was able to try an amendment using TurboTax online for 2018 and 2019 a few weeks ago. 2019 still works, but 2018 will not let me cancel the amendment.

You cannot be using the ONLINE program to amend any prior year return if that is what you are trying to do.  When  and how did you file the 2018 return ?

Let's back up.  You need to cancel an amended 2018 return?  Please e plain that.  What have you done and actually filed?  Did you mail a 2018 1040X Amended return? Maybe you don't need to do anything for 2018.

You can only amend a 2018 Online return by switching to the Desktop program.
