I’m having trouble understanding what’s going on with our tax return it is saying I haven’t done it when I have is this a mistake?

If you're e-filing (especially important this year as COVID has had even greater impacts on paper returns than electronic ones), did you transmit it to the IRS after you finished? If not, then you haven't filed.

Is the IRS showing no return when you check your refund online? A few days' delay in posting incoming returns is normal; that has grown longer this season due to IRS issues.

Does the IRS site say that?  The Where's My Refund site has been erratic and unreliable.  But if TT said your filing was Accepted for processing, then the IRS has it.  Also see:
