I'm filing an amendment for 2017. How do I change my direct deposit info, since I have a different bank now? I received a refund then and will get another now.

Can I just white out what the software filled in (copied from original filing last year), and put my new bank info?

Refunds on a 1040X will have a check mailed to the address on the return ... DD is not an option so there is no need to change anything.
