I logged in one day and my federal return was filed with no info. Can I do anything besides filing 1040x?

Yes,to amend your 2019 tax return: Wait to see if your return has been accepted or rejected by the IRS or state. If rejected, you can correct and re-send your return.

If accepted you should wait until your return has been processed and you receive your refund or conformation that any tax due has been paid. If you file an amended return while you first return is being processed it can cause extended delays for both returns if two returns are in the system at the same time. In addition, if the IRS makes any change on your original return, you might end up having to amend the amendment. Amended returns can only be mailed - allow 8-12 weeks - can take up to 16 weeks (4 months) for processing.

Is there any way to see the status? I never got an email or anything. I just found out when I received my w2 and logged in to fill out the information

Are you trying to see your e-file status? Depending on which TurboTax product that you used to file your taxes, there would be different ways to check the status. Also, are you checking your e-file status or the status of your refund?

I guess to see if it was accepted. It was filed as 0 return. I used the free online service.

Ok. Sort of have an update. It says it’s ready to print. I guess it didn’t go through electronically. Is there any way I can fix it in this stage?
