The IRS may have found a mistake on your tax return or you might owe back tax or child support, etc. that has caused an offset to your refund. When the IRS lowers your refund they mail you a letter that explains why your refund is less. Usually the letter comes a week or two after the refund. TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your return, so no one at TT can tell you why the refund is less.
You did not pay to get your refund "in five days" although users seem to misinterpret that offer --
"5 days early" means you are supposed to receive your refund from one to five days sooner than the refund date shown on the IRS refund site. If it does not meet that "at least one day sooner" date, they are supposed to refund the $35 fee.
You have to pay attention to the date on the IRS refund site.
